My birthday is a surprise to Mom and Dad.
Before I was born, the estimated due date was Sep 12. After several days of delay mom decided to force me out by inducing on Sep 22. Even though I was in mom's belly, I was scared about the word "inducing". On Sep 22 4am, I realize I have to take initiative and come out by myself before too late, and start messing around in mom's belly.
After long enough fighting and screaming, there went my first cry on exactly 13:00. I still clearly remember for the very first time my eyes opened. Mommy looked exhausted and happy, daddy was scared with one hand on my back, the other holding a plate of unfinished chicken salad, and the room number of childbirth unit in South Bend Memorial hospital was 5.
During the time I was washed and wrapped by nurses on an ice old tray, I realized I was doomed to come out on day 2009-09-22, one way or another.
This isn't the whole story, the really big surprise is to dad. Sep 22 in 2009 is Aug 5 under Chinese traditional calendar, which was widely used in mom and dad's generation in China. Under this calendar, dad's birthday is also Aug 5! Dad and I have the same birthday!

The start!
Greetings, people of earth, my name is Yilin. In 2009 September, my mom brought me to life on this planet. As this message is typed, there isn't anything that I know how other than crying, sleeping and messing with diaper. While I understand there will be a lot to learn and a lot to experience in my life.
My mommy and daddy love me incredibly no matter how bad I am. They keep telling me I'm the coolest girl on the planet, when they wake up in the middle of night, when they change diaper during dinner, or any time they see my black eyes open. Wring diary is beyond my capability right now. To record stories of mom, dad and me, I created this blog to remind myself when I'm old enough to read.
